Owners of Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO smartphones often face the need to keep important phone conversations in audio format – whether it’s a confirmation order, a customer agreement or just a personal correspondence to be left to remember – but in recent years, Google, whose Android operating system underpins the MIUI and HyperOS shell, has tightened its privacy policy significantly.
The voice recorder function used to be available out of the box and worked automatically, but now it is often hidden or loudly alerted on global firmware versions. Recording conversations has become a complex technical task requiring understanding software versions and regional settings.
