Xiaomi smartphones (including Redmi, POCO and Black Shark) have a hidden notification log that stores the history of all the notifications received - even those you deleted or ignored. 1. Standard method: where to look for notification log in MIUI 14 and HyperOS

In the latest shell versions (MIUI 14 and later, and HyperOS), the notification log is integrated into the control panel to open it:

1. Swipe down from the top edge of the screen to open the notification curtain.
2. Touch the badge «⚙️ Settings" (cogs) in the upper right corner.
3. In the menu that opens, select Notification Log (or Notification History).

If this is not available, it's disabled to activate it.

3. How to restore deleted notifications (if the log was disabled)

If you haven’t turned on the log in advance, the chances of returning old notifications are minimal, but there are a few ways to do so:

4. Log setting: how to increase the retention period of notifications

By default, MIUI stores notifications in the log for 24-48 hours, after which they are automatically deleted.

If you have turned on the log, but notifications are not saved, check these points:

• 🚫 Battery limitations: Some applications (like Telegram or Viber) can be optimized by the system, which makes their notifications unrecorded. → Battery → Optimize the battery and disable restrictions for the right applications.
• 🔒 Permissions: Make sure the app has the right to display notifications. Check in Settings → Annexes → [Title of the annex] → Notifications.
• 📵 System Error: If the log suddenly stops working, try clearing the Settings app cache (Settings) → Annexes → Application management → Settings → Warehouse → Clear the cache).

On some devices (e.g., POCO F3 or Redmi K40), the log may conflict with the Do Not Disturb feature. If it is active, no notifications are saved.
