The advantage over a typical screenshot is obvious: instead of 5 to 10 individual images, you get one file that is easy to view, send or print, and long screenshots take up less space in the gallery and do not clutter it.
⚠️ Note: The feature doesn't work in all applications, such as some games (PUBG Mobile, Genshin Impact or banking programs (SberBank Online, Tinkoff) a long screenshot may be blocked for security reasons.

The long screenshot feature is available on all Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO smartphones running MIUI 9 and later.

To find out the MIUI version on your phone, go to Settings → About Phone → MIUI version. If you have MIUI 12 or later, you can take a long screenshot of 90% of apps. On older versions (for example, MIUI 10), the feature may work with errors or not at all.
Method 1: Standard method via screenshot menu (MIUI 12–14)
This is the easiest and most reliable way to do this, and it works on most modern Xiaomi devices.
- Open the application or web page you want to capture.

How to edit and save a long screenshot
After creating a screenshot with a scrolling, it can be edited directly in the Xiaomi gallery:
