⚠️ Attention: If you turn on a wide-angle camera, it's normal to blur the image around the edges, which is called vignetting, and it's common for all ultra-wide-angle lenses. To reduce it, you can shoot in good light.

3. Use of the "Professional" mode for forced activation

If the standard method didn’t work, try to bypass the restrictions through Pro Mode, a method that is suitable for firmware where the wide-angle module is locked at the interface level but physically functional.

Instructions:

1. Open the camera. → More. → Professional treatment.
2. In the upper right corner, tap the icon. ⚙️ (setting).
3. Find the Lens or Focus Distance and select the 15mm value (this corresponds to the wide-angle module).
4. Return to shooting, the camera must now use a wide-angle object.

In this mode, you can also manually adjust ISO, shutter speed and white balance to compensate for possible distortions around the edges of the frame, for example, when shooting architecture, reduce the ISO to 100-200 to reduce noise.

If you don't have a lens option in Professional mode, try resetting the camera settings first: Settings → Apps → Camera → Storage → Clear the data. This will bring all the settings back to factory.

4. Third-party applications to unlock a wide-angle camera

If the built-in methods don’t work, you can use alternative cameras that support all Poco X3 Pro modules.

• 📌 Google Camera (GCam): Modified versions (e.g., Google Camera, BSG or Wichaya) are often better optimized for Xiaomi. APK only from trusted sources, such as celsoazevedo.com.
• 📌 Open Camera: Open source with manual lens selection. You need to set up External Cameras and select a wide-angle module.
• 📌 Footage: a professional shooting app where you can manually specify the focal length (15 mm for wide-angle shooting).

Instructions for GCam:

1. Install. APK-file (e.g. version) GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v2.6 POCO X3 Pro).
2. Open the app and go to Settings → Additional → Auxiliary cameras.
3. Activate the option of Ultrawide lens (wide-angle lens).
4. Return to the shooting and swipe sideways to switch between modules.

The GCam’s advantage is improved HDR processing and night mode, which partially offset the weaknesses of the Poco X3 Pro’s wide-angle camera. However, note that some versions may not support video recording on additional modules.

4. Reboot the phone.

Recast to another version of MIUI:

If the reset didn't work, maybe your firmware doesn't support a wide-angle camera. MIUI POCO X3 Pros (codename vayu) are sometimes devoid of this function (IN) Russian (RU) version:

• Download the firmware from the official website en.miui.com (select Recovery ROM for simplified installation).
• Rename the file to update.zip and place it in the root of the phone’s memory.
