Taking a screenshot on the Xiaomi Redmi 9C is a challenge that every user faces: whether itโs saving important correspondence, fixing an error in the application or just wanting to share interesting content, being able to quickly take screenshots saves time and nerves. However, not everyone knows that this model has three official ways, plus several hidden features for advanced control.
In this article, we'll look at not only the standard keyboard combinations, but also alternative methods that work even when the buttons are broken, how to customize screenshots with gestures, where the finished files are stored, and how to edit them right in the gallery, and also how to take a long screenshot of a scrolling page without third-party apps.
1. Standard method: button combination
The most reliable and versatile method is the use of physical buttons, which works on all versions of MIUI, including the very first firmware Redmi 9C, and does not require additional settings.
To take a screenshot:
- Open on the screen what you want to fix (message, page in the browser, map, etc.).
- At the same time, press the power button (right) and the volume reduction button (left).
- Hold them for 1-2 seconds until you hear the characteristic shutter sound of the camera and see the animation of the save.
โ ๏ธ Warning: If you press the buttons too long (more than 3 seconds), you will call the switch off or reboot menu.

- Find the Screenshot icon (usually it looks like a scissor or a rectangle with lightning). If it is not, click Edit (pencil in the upper right corner) and add it to the active buttons.
- Slip the icon - the screenshot will be taken instantly.
