Taking a screenshot on Xiaomi Redmi smartphones is a basic feature that will come in handy for everyone, from saving important messages to fixing bugs in apps. For example, Redmi doesn’t have a standard screenshot button in the notification curtain (unlike Samsung), but it does have a unique finger wiring gesture. Before you get to the instructions, check the version of MIUI on your device: Setting path → About phone → MIUI version. This depends on the availability of some methods. 1. Classic method: power and volume buttons

How to turn on the gesture:
- Go to Settings → Additional functions → button gestures.
- Select the screenshot with three fingers.
- Activate the switch and select the action: 📱 Swipe down - standard screenshot. 📜 Swipe down and hold - a long screenshot (scroll screen).
How to make a screenshot with a gesture:
- Open the screen.
- Swipe three fingers from top to bottom across the screen (as if you were swiping the notification curtain).
- For a long screenshot: Swipe down and hold your finger on the screen until the scroll area is illuminated.
⚠️ Note: Redmi with curved screens (e.g. Redmi) K50 Ultra) the gesture may not work on the edges of the display, in which case, swipe your fingers strictly in the center of the screen.

3. Screenshot via notification panel (for MIUI 13/14/15)

- Open the notification curtain (swipe from top to bottom).

5. Long screenshots (scroll screens) on Redmi
The long screenshot (or scrolling screen) feature allows you to save an entire web page, correspondence, or list in a single file, for example, you can take a snapshot of the entire Instagram feed, correspondence on Telegram or spreadsheets in Excel.
How to make a scrolling screen:
