Modern Xiaomi smartphones have a powerful built-in spam protection system, which by default hides the list of blocked contacts from the user’s eyes. Complicating matters, the interface of the MIUI shell or the new HyperOS is constantly changing, and the settings can vary depending on the regional version of the firmware. In this article, we will take a look at all the available ways to find the hidden lock registry, using both standard system tools and special codes to log into the engineering menu.

Direct access through the Security app
The most reliable and official way to manage the list of unwanted contacts on Xiaomi devices is to use the system application Security. This is where the antivirus kernel resides and the spam protection module that controls incoming connections. Unlike a standard call, this application has extended access rights to system filters.
To enter the menu, you need to run an app with a green shield icon. The home screen often displays the security status, but we are interested in the settings section. Depending on the firmware version, you need to find Antispam or Lock. If there is no such item on the home screen, click on the gear icon in the upper right corner, this will open the global settings of the application, where the desired functionality is hidden.
Inside the Antispam menu, you'll see a list of all the numbers that have been blocked, as well as a history of locks, and you can not only view the list, but also set rules, such as blocking all hidden numbers or numbers from other regions, which is the most complete tool for managing incoming traffic on your device.

Open the Phone app and notice the three dots or menu icon in the top right corner (sometimes you need to click on the gear immediately if it is displayed separately). In the dropdown list, select Settings. Next, the interface may differ: some versions of MIUI have a separate item Locked numbers, in others it is hidden deeper in the Antispam section.
If you use a Google caller (which is common on global versions), the path will look different: Settings → Locked numbers. This displays a list of all contacts who are denied access to your device. The advantage of this method is that it syncs with your Google account, keeping a list even when you change your device.
It's important to note that the settings made through the Phone app are completely duplicated in the Security app. It's a single database, just accessed through different interfaces, so if you add a number in one place, you'll see it in another.
Using Secret Codes to Enter the Engineering Menu

Why can codes not work?
Differences in MIUI and HyperOS interfaces
With the release of the new HyperOS operating system, Xiaomi has significantly redesigned the logical structure of the menu. Users who are accustomed to MIUI 14 and earlier versions may be confused without finding the usual items.
In MIUI 12-14, the path was more linear: Security Application → Settings → Antispam. HyperOS has shifted its focus to Privacy Protection. Now lock management is often integrated into the overall system settings, not just into a single application, to unify the experience, but makes it harder to find specific features.
In addition, on the Global ROM, some of the features of the Chinese blocker can be trimmed or replaced with standard Google solutions, while the Chinese versions (CN ROM) have very detailed settings to block calls by keywords in the room or time of day.

If you have upgraded to HyperOS and can not find the settings, use the search by settings (lamp at the top of the settings screen) and enter “antispam” – the system will open the path relevant to your version.
Managing SMS and multimedia messaging blocking
