Forgot your password from a social network, a banking app or email, but logged in via a Xiaomi smartphone? Don't rush to reset accounts or restore access - your MIUI-based device can store this data in a secure form. In this article, we will examine all the official and hidden ways to find saved passwords on Redmi, POCO and Mi phones, including models from 2023-2026.
It’s important to understand that Xiaomi doesn’t provide direct access to passwords for security purposes, but it integrates multiple storage systems, from the built-in MIUI Password Manager to Google services, and we’ll show you how to use them, and we’ll also warn you about the risks of using third-party utilities to extract passwords that could compromise your data.

1.Official password manager at MIUI
From MIUI 12 (and up), Xiaomi has a built-in credentials storage tool, MIUI Password Manager, which automatically saves passwords from the Mi Browser browser, some apps and input forms. Here's how to use it:
Open Settings → Passwords and Security → Password Manager. The system will request confirmation by PIN, fingerprint or pattern lock. Once logged in, you will see a list of saved accounts with logins (but not passwords!) to see the password itself:
- Tap the right account.
- Press the eye icon (👁️) pass-through".
- Confirm the action through biometrics or PIN.
Limitations of the method:

2. Passwords from Google Smart Lock and Chrome

Important nuances:

4. Third-party password managers: risks and opportunities
