Wireless charging has long ceased to be an exclusive feature of flagships โ today it is supported even by some budget smartphones. But how is it with Xiaomi? If you choose a new phone and want to get rid of wires, or you already own a device brand and do not know whether it can be charged to the standard Qi, this article will help to understand.
We have analyzed all current models of Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO (Including sub-brands to make a comprehensive list of wireless charging-enabled smartphones, youโll learn not only about the feature, but also about charging speed, compatibility with charging stations, and which models require additional accessories. And yet โ we will reveal a few secrets how to speed up charging or save on the purchase of a wireless charger.
Spoiler: Xiaomi is slow to introduce wireless charging to all devices, but there are some decent options among the flagships and premium series, and some models even support reverse wireless charging โ that is, they can act as a power bank for other gadgets!
Which Xiaomi Series Supports Wireless Charging?
In short, these are mostly flagship and premium series. Xiaomi traditionally only provides wireless charging to top models, leaving budget and mid-budget lines without this feature.
- ๐ฑ Xiaomi Mi (obsolete series, but some models are relevant): Mi 11, Mi 10 and their modifications.
- ๐ Xiaomi 12/13/14: All the latest generation flagships (including Pro versions and Ultra).
- ๐ Xiaomi MIX: Experimental devices with premium chips.
- โก Black Shark: gaming smartphones (but not all models!).
This is a surprising fact, among Redmi and POCO There are almost no wireless charging models, except for the rare special editions, like Redmi. K50 Gaming (but there is also Qi support with reservations) If you want wireless charging, you have to look towards Xiaomi or Black Shark.
But thereโs a caveat: even if the model supports Qi, the charging speed can be very different, for example, the Xiaomi 13 Pro charges wirelessly at 50 watts, and the Mi 11 Lite charges only 10 watts.
Wireless charging speeds: 10 to 80 watts
Not all wireless charging is equally useful. Just because your smartphone supports Qi doesn't mean it'll charge as fast as it does over the wire. Here's how Xiaomi is doing:
| Model | Max: Wireless charging speed | Reverse charging | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Xiaomi 14 Ultra | 80 W. | 10 Watts. | Fastest wireless charging among smartphones (2026) requires a proprietary station. |
| Xiaomi 13 Pro | 50 W. | 10 Watts. | Compatible with Mi Wireless Charging Stand. |
| Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra | 67 W. | 10 Watts. | Supports charging in a vertical and horizontal position. |
| Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra | 50 W. | 10 Watts. | The first model with support for 50 watts requires original charging. |
| Black Shark 5 Pro | 67 W. | No. | A gaming smartphone with magnetic mount for charging. |
Important: speeds of 50 watts and above are achieved only with branded Xiaomi charging stations. If you use universal Qi-charging at 10-15 watts, the phone will charge at times slower. For example, Xiaomi 13 Pro on standard charging will get only 5-7 watts instead of 50!
Another point: reverse wireless charging (when the phone itself gives power to other devices) is usually limited to 5-10 watts. This is enough for headphones or smartwatches, but not for another smartphone.
๐ก
If Xiaomi supports 30+ Watt, but charges slowly, check the settings: go to Settings โ Battery โ Charging settings and enable the option "Fast wireless charging" (if available).

Note: some models (e.g. Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite or POCO F4 GT) They have partial support, they can be charged from Qi stations, but very slowly (5-7 watts) and without official certification.
โ ๏ธ Note: Models for the Chinese market (with suffix) CN) Sometimes they have advanced charging features not available in global versions. 11T Pro in China supports 67 watts, and in Europe โ only 120 watts on wire and 5 watts on wireless.
How to check if your Xiaomi supports wireless charging?
If your model isnโt listed above, or youโre not sure about its version (like Chinese vs global), there are a few ways to check for Qi support:
- Official specs. Go to mi.com, find your model, and check the Battery section. Look for Wireless charging or Qi.
- Phone settings. Go to Settings. โ The phone. โ Full specifications โ Battery. If you have a line called "Wireless Charging," the function is supported.
- The test with the charging station. Just put the phone on any Qi charge. If the charging indicator (lightning or percentage) appears, there is support. If not, either the function is missing or the charging is too weak (less than 5 watts).
- Diagnostic applications. Utilities like AccuBattery or AIDA64 Look for the line Wireless charging: Yes.
If the phone doesnโt charge wirelessly but the specifications indicate support, try:
- ๐ Reset the device.
- ๐ Use another charging station (some cheap Qi pods are not compatible with Xiaomi).
- ๐ฑ Reset network settings: Settings โ System system โ Resetting settings โ Resetting Wi-Fi, mobile networks and Bluetooth (sometimes helps with failures in the wireless charging module).
Why Xiaomi isnโt adding wireless charging to Redmi?
What charging stations are suitable for Xiaomi?
Not all Qi charging is equally good for Xiaomi, and cheap universal pods often donโt unlock the potential of a smartphone, and sometimes donโt work at all.
Original accessories Xiaomi:
- ๐ Mi Wireless Charging Stand (50 Waht - for Xiaomi 13/14 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra.
- ๐ Mi Fast Wireless Charge Pad (30W) is universal for most models.
- ๐ Mi Air Charge (5W, remote charging) โ experimental technology, works only with Mi 11 (requires a separate adapter).
Compatible third-party charges:
- ๐น Anker PowerWave (10-15 W) โ budget option for basic models.
- ๐น Belkin Boost Up (10W) โ reliable but slow.
- ๐น Samsung Wireless Charger Duo (15W) โ Suitable for Xiaomi, but wonโt reveal the maximum.
What to avoid:
- โ Charges without Qi certification (may damage battery).
- โ Models with power less than 7.5 watts (practically useless for modern smartphones).
- โ Charges with a metal surface (overheating the phone).
โ ๏ธ Note: If you use a thicker cover 3 Um, wireless charging might not work or slow down a lot. 13/14 Ultra with Leica camera is better to use cases with a cutout for the charging module.

Reverse wireless charging: how to use Xiaomi as a power bank
Some Xiaomi flagships not only charge by air, but also give power to other devices, a feature called Reverse Wireless Charging, which works on the same Qi standard, but in the opposite direction.
Supported models:
- ๐ Xiaomi 14 Ultra/Pro (10 Watt)
- ๐ Xiaomi 13 Ultra/Pro (10 Watt)
- ๐ Xiaomi 12S Ultra (10 Watts)
- ๐ Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra/Pro (10 Watt)
- ๐ Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra (10 Watts)
How to turn on:
- Open the Settings. โ Battery.
- Find the option Reverse Wireless Charging (or Wireless Power Share).
- Activate the slider.
- Put another device (such as Xiaomi Watch or AirPods) on the back of your smartphone.
Limitations:
- ๐ธ It only works when the phone is above 20%.
- ๐ธ Speed does not exceed 10 watts (enough for headphones, but not for another smartphone).
- ๐ธ Phone may be heated โ do not use the feature for more than 30 minutes in a row.
Lifehack: If you need to charge another smartphone (like an iPhone), first check if it supports Qi. Some models (like iPhones) 12/13) It can be charged from Xiaomi, but very slowly (1โ2 Watt).
๐ก
Reverse charging is useful when traveling without a power outlet, but you need to urgently recharge your headphones or watch, but you should use a wired power bank to fully charge another smartphone.
Frequent problems and their solutions
Wireless charging is a convenient thing, but sometimes it doesn't work, and here are the most common problems Xiaomi owners have and how to solve them:
The phone is not charging:
- ๐ Check if the smartphone is correctly located at the station (coils must match).
- ๐ Try another socket or charging station power cable.
- ๐ฑ Restart your phone โ sometimes helps when the charging controller crashes.
- ๐ ๏ธ Update the firmware: in some versions MIUI There were wireless charging bugs.
Charging is going too slow:
- โก Make sure you use a proprietary station (for example, Xiaomi 13 Pro needs a 50-watt stand).
- ๐ฅ Remove the case โ it can block the signal or cause overheating.
- โ๏ธ Let the phone cool down if it overheats (at temperatures above 40)ยฐC charging automatically slows down).
The phone is heating up:
- ๐ก๏ธ This is normal for high-powered chargers (30).+ W), but if the temperature exceeds 45ยฐC, interrupt the charging.
- ๐ด Do not use your phone while wirelessly charging (games, videos increase heating).
- ๐ Try charging in a ventilated place (not on a soft surface blocking the heat sink).
The reverse charger is not working:
- ๐ Check the charge level of the phone (should be) >20%).
- ๐ฑ Make sure the other device supports Qi (not all headphones or watches are compatible).
- ๐ Reboot both devices.
โ ๏ธ Note: If after the update MIUI wireless charging stopped working, try to roll back on the previous version of the firmware or wait for the patch. MIUI 14 power controller bugs were detected on some models (Xiaomi 12 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra).
