The display of battery power percentage on the Xiaomi screen is one of the most popular features among users. Despite the fact that the manufacturer by default hides this information in most design themes, you can turn it into just a few taps. In this article, we will analyze all the current ways for different versions of MIUI (12 to 14) and smartphone models – from the budget Redmi to the flagship Xiaomi 13/14.
Many users mistakenly believe that the percentage of charging is only displayed in the battery status when connected to charging, but it can actually be output continuously, both in the status bar and on the lock screen, the main thing is to know where to look for the settings you want, and then you will find step-by-step instructions based on the features of different versions of the firmware and the themes of the design.
If you use Xiaomi with custom firmware (such as Pixel Experience or LineageOS), some methods may not work, in which case we recommend you to refer to the settings of a particular firmware or use third-party apps from Google Play.
Important: On models with AMOLED-screens (for example, Xiaomi 12 Pro or Redmi) K50 Pro) constant percentage display may slightly increase battery consumption due to pixel activity in the status bar.
1. Standard method through MIUI settings
The simplest and most versatile method is to use the built-in system options. It works on all Xiaomi smartphones with official firmware. MIUI 12–14 (including the Redmi Note 11/12, POCO X5, Xiaomi 13T The instructions are relevant for Android. 10–14.
To enable the display of percentages:
- Open the Settings app (cog icon).
- Go to the Screen section (or the Display on some models).
- Select Status Line (older versions of MIUI may call it Notification Panel).
- Activate the switch to show the percentage of battery charge.
After that, the percentage of charging will appear next to the battery icon in the upper right corner of the screen. On some design themes (for example, MIUI Light), the numbers can be displayed inside the battery icon.

In MIUI, the percentage of charging is often determined by the theme chosen, and some default themes hide this information even if it's included in the settings to solve the problem:

For this:
- Press and hold the empty space on the main screen.
- Select Widgets from the bottom menu.

- Drag it to the main screen and adjust the displayed parameters.

4.Showing percentages on the lock screen
On the lock screen, the percentage of charging is displayed by default on most Xiaomi devices, but sometimes this option is hidden.
1. Go to Settings → Lock screen.
2. Select Additional Settings (or Advanced Settings).
3. Activate the option to Show the percentage of battery charge.
If the item is not on the menu, try changing the lock screen style:
- In the same section, click the Lock Style.
- Choose either Classic or MIUI.
- Save the changes and check the percentage display.

On some models (e.g. Redmi Note 10 Pro), the percentage of charging on the lock screen is only displayed when you connect to the charger. To see it constantly, turn on the option to Always show charge in lock settings.
5. Alternative methods (ADB, third-party applications)
If standard methods fail, you can use advanced settings through ADB or third-party utilities, which are suitable for advanced users and require caution.
Method 1: ADB teams
This will require a computer with Xiaomi drivers installed and the ADB (Android Debug Bridge) tool.
- Enable USB Debugging in Settings → About Phone → MIUI Version (click 7 times on the line with the version, then go back to Additional Settings → For Developers).
- Connect your smartphone to your PC and execute the command: adb shell settings put global battery_percent 1
- Reset the device.
To disable the percentage display, use the same command with the 0 option instead of 1.

6. Features for different Xiaomi models
Some Xiaomi smartphones have unique nuances when displaying charging percentages. Consider the most popular models:
Redmi Note 11/12, POCO X4/X5:

- 🔹 On the lock screen, the percentage is visible only when connected to charging (solved by changing the topic).
Xiaomi 12/13/14 series:

7. Solving problems with percentage display
If the charging percentage does not appear despite all settings, check the following points:
Problem 1: Percentages are not displayed in the status bar
- 🔄 Restart the device – sometimes the system does not apply changes without a reboot.
- 🎨 Change the theme of the design to the standard (MIUI Default).
- 🔧 Check if a third-party launcher is hiding interest (like Nova Launcher).
Problem 2: Percentages are not shown correctly (e.g. 100% at 80%)
- 🔋 Calibrate the battery: discharge the phone before turning off, then charge to 100% without interruption.
- 📱 Reset the settings of the application Settings in Settings → Annexes → Application management → Settings → Warehouse → Clear the data.
- 🔄 Update the firmware to the latest version.
Problem 3: Interest disappears after MIUI update
- 🔧 Re-enable the option in the settings - sometimes the reset occurs after the update.
